What Verified means for van drivers

Published by Verified Vans Today

Verified on a driver profile means a member of the Verified Vans Today team has looked at two photos: a driving licence and van insurance. It is optional. Unverified drivers can still receive job alerts.

## What we check

A clear licence photo with a readable name and expiry. A van insurance certificate for the vehicle on the profile. The name must match the account. Both documents must be in date on the day of approval. When a document expires, the label comes off until new photos are approved.

## How you get the label

Upload both photos from the driver profile. Blurry or cropped images get refused. An admin reviews within about two working days once both files are in. Keep documents in date or the label drops automatically.

## What we do not check

No DVLA points lookup. No credit check. No criminal-record check. No proof of van ownership. No guarantee the job will go well. Photos are admin-only and are not shown on the public profile.

Paying £14.99 a month does not buy the label. Rejecting a document does not block Telegram alerts.

## For businesses reading a profile

Treat Verified as one signal. You still speak on WhatsApp, agree the price, and decide who to hire. Ask for anything else you need before they arrive: a second person for stairs, a tail-lift, or goods-in-transit cover.

## Matching still comes first

Set base postcode, collection miles, delivery miles, minimum pay, and van type. Connect Telegram. Miles are straight-line from your base postcode. Soft bio text does not override those fields. Drivers get the first month free, then £14.99 a month for matching alerts.

## Why the label exists

Businesses asked for a simple signal before they WhatsApp a stranger. The label answers a narrow question: did we look at the licence and insurance photos and find them in date with a matching name? That is all. It does not replace your own checks on the day of the job.
