eBay and marketplace collections: one alert, then WhatsApp
Gumtree, eBay, and Facebook Marketplace pickups go wrong when the load is bigger than the listing photo. On Verified Vans Today you post the pay, both postcodes, the van, and your own photos of the item. Drivers who fit get one Telegram alert. You finish the deal on WhatsApp. Matching uses van type, minimum pay, and straight-line miles from the driver’s base postcode. A click on WhatsApp is not a booking.
Why photos matter on marketplace jobs
Up to 15 photos. Show weight cues, dismantled parts, and access at both ends.
A vague “large item” advert will not match well. Drivers filter on van type and minimum pay.
The street address of the seller stays off the public advert until you choose a driver.
Take your own photos at the seller’s door when you can. Marketplace listing shots often hide missing legs or boxed parts.
Money and matching
The fee for the collection is paid between you and the driver. We do not take a cut.
Membership is for matching only. See /pricing for driver and business rates.
Failed card: three days to update, then alerts and open adverts pause until you do.
Agree cash or bank transfer on WhatsApp before the driver leaves. We do not hold the collection fee.
Matching rules that apply here
Collection and delivery distances are both measured from the driver’s base postcode.
If the van on the profile does not meet the van on the advert, that driver is not alerted.
When the collection window ends with no hire, the advert expires and new Telegram alerts stop.
What this page is not
We are not eBay, Gumtree, or Facebook Marketplace. You still buy or sell the item on that platform.
We do not guarantee the seller will be home. Confirm access times in WhatsApp once you pick a driver.
